A club in Vologda refused to hold a concert by rapper Husky after threats

The Vologda club “Party club XO” canceled the concert of rapper Husky after threats of closure by law enforcement agencies, reports with reference to the manager of the performer Andrey Orekhov. MBKh Media

“A paper came from the site that they could not hold a concert, due to the threat of their further closure by the authorities,” Orekhov told the publication, which received information from the organizers of the tour.

Earlier, Olga Smirnova, Commissioner for Children's Rights of the Vologda Oblast , said on her official page on VKontakte that local residents had informed her that Huskies and the Friendzone group were planning to perform in the city. They demanded to cancel the concerts. Smirnova stated that the groups promote same-sex relationships and use profanity, in connection with which she sent appeals to the prosecutor's office and Roskomnadzor for inspections.

• Concerts of Husky, who travels around Russia on tour, have already been canceled in several cities under the influence of law enforcement agencies. Thus, the organizers of the performance in Tolyatti announced the cancellation of the concert, as the prosecutor's office had recently come to them and "strongly recommended that the concert be canceled, otherwise severe sanctions would have been applied."
• Also in Rostov-on-Don, the rapper's managers were threatened before the concert that they would disrupt the event if they did not sign a warning against violations of the law. According to the organizers, the police threatened to plant drugs on them. During the concert itself, the sound and lighting were turned off.
• In Krasnodar, the rapper was supposed to perform on November 22, but his concerts were canceled in two clubs in a row. After that, he decided to perform in front of the fans on the roof of the car, but he was detained by the police. The rapper was charged under three administrative articles, and after that he was arrested for 12 days for petty hooliganism (20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) and refusal of a medical examination (Article 6.9 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). A few days later, a court in Krasnodar overturned the arrest and the rapper was released.
