Activists of the Kolyma for Life movement held an action on Cathedral Square in Magadan in support of motherhood and childhood, reports the news agency MagadanMedia.ru . Of the thousands of burning lamps, an eight -eater fruit was laid out in the womb.

A thousand burning candles is equal to the approximate number of terminated pregnancies in the region over the past year from the words of activists. The press service of the regional Ministry of Health and Demographic Policy noted that the silhouette reached a diameter of 10 meters and "was perfectly visible from the height of the bell tower of the Holy Trinity Cathedral."

“The purpose of the action is“ one of us ” - to convey to the Kolyma residents that a person’s life begins from the moment of conception and children who are in the womb of the mother, these are the same children who have the right to birth and life,” the activists said. During the rally, leaflets dedicated to the protection of unborn children were distributed to passers -by, and they offered to sacrifice money to help pregnant women in difficult life situations.
