What's happened. Hackers broke into the computer system of Starwood (part of Marriott International). Starwood operates Sheraton, St. Regis, Le Méridien, W Hotels, Four Points by Sheraton and others.

Hackers gained access to the system back in 2014.
The 327 million customer data included name, postal address, phone number, email address, passport number, account number, date of birth, gender, arrival and departure information.
For some guests, bank card information was also stolen.
The hackers had at their disposal data on customers who booked rooms up to September 10, 2018.
