The media write about 20 victims, six of whom are law enforcement officers.

According to CNews , citing government data, about 5.5 thousand people participated in the protest in Paris, and 36 thousand people throughout France.

The first clashes between members of the Yellow Vests movement began today around 9 am local time (11:00 Moscow time). When the demonstrators tried to pass through the police cordon, they sprayed tear gas and smoke.

Protests against the increase in gasoline prices began on 17 November. Then 409 people were injured, another 157 were taken into custody. One participant in the protests in the Savoie department died.
