In St. Petersburg on December 5, masked men seized Andrey Manukovsky, the owner of the M-Group construction company, searched his apartment and then released him with the words “Prepare money.” Fontanka writes about this with reference to Elina Manukovskaya, the financial director of the company.
According to her, the businessman was grabbed shouting “To the ground, police!” when he approached the car near the house. The attackers pushed him into their car, handcuffed him, and then, having taken away the keys, went up to the apartment and searched it, Manukovskaya said.
Then he was “carried to the shore of the Gulf of Finland near the Baltic Pearl and thrown away, allegedly saying the phrase: “Prepare money” in the end,” the publication says. According to Fontanka, the police are checking the statement about the kidnapping of Manukovsky.
In mid-November 2018, Manukovsky, together with acting governor Beglov and head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Umnov, participated in the grand opening of the 57th department of the Vyborg Regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, built by his company for 122 million rubles.
