
The prosecutor’s office recognized as invalid the results of the elections of the head of the Irkutsk village, where Lyudmila Ivanova won the candidate of United Russia. The results were canceled due to falsification of voting, reports the Taiga.info publication.
The election of the head of the village of Tikhonovka Bokhanovsky district of the Irkutsk region was held on September 9, 2018. Ivanova scored 180 votes against self -nominated Igor Stupin, who received 178 votes. The Bokhansky District Court recognized the decision of the Bokhansky territorial election commission on the election results illegal. The court decision entered into force.
According to the prosecutor's office, during the audit, facts of falsification by members of the precinct election commission No. 221 of the election results were established. Five voters who actually did not take part in the elections were identified. In addition, the prosecutor's office handed over materials to the UK to initiate a case under Art. 142.1 of the Criminal Code (falsification of voting results) in relation to three members of the precinct election commission.
