In Moscow, the court extended the arrest of four defendants in the New Greatness case until March 13

The Dorogomilovsky District Court of Moscow extended the arrest of Dmitry Poletaev, Ruslan Kostylenkov, Pyotr Karamzin and Vyacheslav Kryukov, defendants in the New Greatness case, until March 13, 2019, reports . MBKh-Media

The meeting was broadcast on Twitter by the Flywheel of Political Repressions. According to her, the investigator petitioned for an extension of the arrest , since, in his opinion, if released from custody, the defendants in the case “will quickly go abroad and make passports.”

At the same time, the defendants in the New Greatness case asked to be released from custody. In particular, Kryukov said : "I have all the evidence to transfer me to house arrest."

Earlier, the Dorogomilovsky District Court of Moscow extended house arrest to the defendants in the New Greatness case Maxim Roshchin, Maria Dubovik, Anna Pavlikova, Rashid Rustamov, Pavel Rebrovsky and Sergei Gavrilov until March 13, 2019.

In the New Greatness case, there are ten defendants who are accused of organizing an extremist community (Article 282.1 of the Criminal Code). According to the case file, a man under the nickname "Ruslan D." invited the activists to transform the opposition chat into a political movement, wrote a political program and rented a building for holding “constituent assemblies”. Later it became clear that he was an informant or even a staff member of the special services.

On October 28, in several cities of Russia, including Moscow and St. Petersburg, actions were held in support of the defendants in the case of New Greatness and the Network. For a post on Facebook with a call to go to a rally against the head of the movement "For Human Rights" Lev Ponomarev, a protocol was drawn up on a repeated violation of the rules for holding a rally. As a result, on December 5, the court sent the 77-year-old human rights activist under arrest for 25 days.
