The Investigative Committee terminated one case of lawyer Mikhail Benyash. He was charged with violence against a police officer

The Investigative Committee dismissed the case of lawyer Mikhail Benyash on obstruction of justice. He was charged under Article 318 of the Criminal Code - violence against a police officer. Lawyer Alexey Avanesyan wrote about this.

On the day of the protest against pension reform on September 9, Benyash was going to go to the police department to defend the detainees. But he himself was detained. The lawyer said that he was beaten first in a police car, and then in the police department.

According to investigators, during his arrest, Benyash bit one officer on the hand in a police car and hit another in the face three times with his elbow. The lawyer was arrested in a case of violence against a police officer.

At the end of September, it became known that another criminal case was opened against the lawyer for obstruction of justice (Article 294 of the Criminal Code).
