The court in St. Petersburg dismissed administrative cases against two participants in the September 9 rally

The Vyborgsky District Court of St. Petersburg terminated the administrative proceedings against Larisa Lipatova and Olga Sinyakova. They were accused of violating the rules for holding a public event (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) for actions against the pension reform that took place on September 9. The court made such a decision, since it did not find any elements of the offense in the actions of the protesters.

• On September 9, rallies and marches were held in many cities of the country against raising the retirement age. Twelve of them were agreed with the authorities. According to OVD-Info, at least 1,195 people were detained, most of the detainees were in St. Petersburg - about 623.
