IOC requires Russian Bobsleists to return the medals of the Sochi Olympiad

The International Olympic Committee demanded that Alexei Voevoda, Alexei Nedodailo and Dmitry Trunenkov return the gold medals that they won at the Sochi Olympic Games in Bobsley competitions. This was reported to TASS in the press service of the IOC.

The governor must return two gold medals of the Olympiad due to the fact that in February the Sports Arbitration Court supported the decision of the Disciplinary Commission of the IOC to cancel its results at the Games in Sochi in connection with the violation of anti -doping rules. NEBDAILO and TrUNENKOV were initially also punished by the IOC, but their court fully acquitted.

"The IOC has already asked for the return of medals to all 11 Russian athletes whose violations of the anti -doping rules at the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi were confirmed by the sports arbitration court, and their partners who took part in team competitions," the organization said.

Earlier, the IOC demanded that two gold medals of Sochi be returned from Alexander Zubkov, who was also found guilty of violating anti -doping rules. Together with the governor, he won gold in deuces, with Nedidailo and Trunenkov in four.

Note that Kasyanov, Pushkarev and Khuzin continue to perform for the Russian team.
