Russians will be allowed into Davos

The organizers of the World Economic Forum decided to lift restrictions and invite Russian businessmen who fell under sanctions to Davos.

According to Interfax, citing a source, an official delegation from Russia will take part in the forum.

“Due to the fact that the organizers of the Davos Forum have changed their mind and lifted the restrictions previously imposed on Russian businessmen, an official government delegation will travel to Davos and take part in the forum,” said a source in the Russian government.

Earlier it was reported that three Russian businessmen - Oleg Deripaska, Viktor Vekselberg and Andrey Kostin - were informed that their participation in the Davos forum was "not welcome." Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said at the time that Russia would withdraw from the forum unless the conditions for domestic business representatives were changed.
