The resolution of the Russian Federation on counteracting cybercrime is approved by the UN

Support for the resolution was provided by the BRICS countries, the organization of the collective security agreement and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, but the United States and the EU countries opposed it.

The UN General Assembly approved the resolution proposed by Russia on "countering the use of information and communication technologies for criminal purposes." As the official representative of the Permanent Protection of the Russian Federation at the UN Fedor Strzhizhovsky told reporters, 36 countries performed with the document with the document.

“The resolution gives rise to the search and formulation of a response to one of the current global threats - the problem of cybercrime.
