In the framework of the criminal case, 7 more people are held, who also made dangerous alcohol -containing liquids, doing this, according to the investigation, by prior conspiracy. 63 people died from the use of their products. Five natives of Azerbaijan and two residents of the Irkutsk region are accused of a crime.

In connection with the poisoning in Irkutsk, the surrogates were detained by more than 30 people - owners of stores, sellers, manufacturers and officials. Many of them received real terms for the transportation, storage and sale of products that do not meet safety requirements. Some received fines. In total, four such criminal cases were examined.

In December 2016, in the Irkutsk region, the number of victims of poisoning by the “hawthorn” agent reached 74 people. In total, 122 people suffered. The emergency mode was temporarily introduced in the region, and the sale of non -food alcohol -containing products, including in household stores, was prohibited. The sale of non -food products with the content of ethyl alcohol more than 28% (except perfumes and glass washing liquids) in Russia is still prohibited.
