PAU Barrena / AFP / Scanpix / Leta, several thousand supporters of the independence of Catalonia on December 21 staged a protest during a meeting of the Spanish government, which was transferred from Madrid to Barcelona. The demonstrators blocked dozens of roads in the region, protesting against the arrival of Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez. Activists tried to break through to the place of the meeting, but were stopped by the police. There were clashes between the protesters and the police. At least 11 people were detained .
