Roskomnadzor began checking the BBC

Roskomnadzor announced an inspection of the BBC after violations were found in Britain at the RT television channel.

“In connection with the situation related to the decision of the British regulator Ofcom on the violation of the broadcasting rules by the RT channel, Roskomnadzor begins to carry out control measures in relation to the BBC World News channel distributed in the Russian Federation, as well as in relation to the BBC resources on the Internet, for the compliance of the produced materials with Russian legislation," the ministry said in a statement .

The day before, the Ofcom media regulator recognized the RT channel as violating the rules of broadcasting - in several programs of the channel, devoted, in particular, to the poisoning of the Skripals and the conflict in Syria, the principles of objectivity were not observed.
