Ukrainian director Oleg Sentsov was discharged from the medical unit of IK-8 in Labytnangi. He was placed there during a 145-day hunger strike. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the Federal Penitentiary Service for the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District.
The decision to transfer Sentsov to the detachment for further serving the sentence was made in accordance with the recommendations of the attending physician. The press service of the department notes that the state of health of the convict is assessed as satisfactory, which means that he can be involved in labor in the colony.
On December 10, the Directorate of the Federal Penitentiary Service for the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug announced that Oleg Sentsov had no serious health problems and would soon be transferred to the main detachment. At the same time, the lawyer of the convict, Dmitry Dinze, noted that after a long hunger strike, Sentsov had organic lesions of the heart, liver and kidneys.
