Yakutia: The gas pipeline exploded

In Yakutia this morning, a breakthrough occurred in the Namsky district, and then a gas pipeline fire. The regional Ministry of Emergency Situations correspondent Siberia. Reali reported that at the place where the accident occurred, burning was stopped, but the department’s employees continue to work in an “emergency” mode.

The incident occurred at about 08:30 local time on the first branch of the Yakutsk -Taasti line. The first accidents were noticed by Aeroflot pilots flying over this territory. After the explosion, the burning of the gas lasted 4 hours. Two brigades of Sakhatransneftegaz PJSC, which owns the gas pipeline, operate at the site of the emergency. EMERCOM specialists also promise to help in recovery work.

As a result of the incident, no one was injured. The investigation began on the audit on the fact of what happened.

It is known that three Yakut villages are connected to this gas branch: Ergeleh, Hongor-Featy and Cureg-At. According to local authorities, the incident did not lead to a violation of the gas supply of residents.
