Director Alexei Krasovsky (“Collector”) released a trailer for the black comedy “Holiday”, the action of which takes place in blockade Leningrad. The main roles were played by Yan Tsapnik (“Bitter”), Alena Babenko (“driver for faith”) and Timothy of the Tribunets (“Monk and Bes”).
The main characters of the film, members of the privileged family of the scientist Voskresensky, celebrate the New Year in the country house. Unexpected guests join the celebration: the son of the Voskresensky unexpectedly leads the girl not used to luxury, and the daughter, the bridegroom who has just returned from the front. Voskresensky has to hide that they are in a “special position”, because other residents of Leningrad are starving.
Krasovsky collected money to create a film, including with crowdfunding. The director was repeatedly threatened on the phone and on social networks due to the fact that he decided to shoot a comedy about the blocked Leningrad. The picture was called "blasphemy" before the exit; Affirming that the authors of the "holiday" "stomp on the sacred topic." Krasovsky refused to receive a rental certificate - and decided that he would simply post the film in his YouTube channel.
