Protest participant Shahnaz Shitik was detained in St. Petersburg

Petersburg, a local activist and protester Shahnaz Shitik was detained. This is written in the telegram channel "Groups of assistance to detainees."

Shitik was brought to police station No. 78. “She needs medical help,” activists say. It is specified that before the arrest, the woman was at a meeting of equity holders, which was held in the office of the Yabloko party.

UPD 19:15 Shitik is charged with part 2 of Article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (petty hooliganism). An ambulance arrived at the activist's department.

UPD 19:57 Deputy of the Legislative Assembly from the Yabloko party Boris Vishnevsky wrote in his telegram channel that Shitik was being taken to the Alexander Hospital. He also added that the police beat the woman.

UPD 21:23 Vishnevsky said that the head of police department No. 78 refused to explain to him what Shitik's petty hooliganism was: "I received practically no answers, except for references to police reports."

“The video watched by Dinar [Idrisov] and Kotovets (head of the department, police lieutenant colonel Alexander Kotovets - OVD-Info ) shows that Shakhnaz was beaten right in the police department. For no reason. And before that, they led a scantily clad woman down the street in handcuffs,” the deputy noted.

• On December 24, Shitik was detained in court because of an argument with a bailiff. Then she was released from the department without presenting anything.
