The village of Svetlogorye of the Primorsky Territory lives with a crowded cemetery. Residents and the administration say that, judging by the archive, there should be almost twice as many places for burial, according to the website of IA PrimaMedia .
According to residents, the Pozharsky district responsible for expanding the cemetery asks to wait, referring to bureaucratic difficulties. “People are already burying on the road, who can - take the deceased to the neighboring cities of Lewegorsk and Bikin. Today, the issue of expanding the cemetery in the Svetlogue is very acute and requires an urgent decision,” Olga Mashukova, a resident of the village of village told the agency.
Residents are forced to bury the dead in the former parking lot near the cemetery and on the access roads. “By the end of the year, they began to die one by one. In total in 2018, 29 people died in the Svetlologiy, for the period from November 20 to December 20 - 7 people. In the winter it became scary in winter: it is not clear that there, below, is empty or there is already a burial, under the snow and you will not find anything,” added Mashukova.
According to the head of the Svetlogorsky rural settlement of Pavel Train, under the cemetery in the 80s, 1.9 hectares of land were allocated instead of 1 hectare, which it occupies now. In 2013-2014, a forest arrangement was carried out, and the unused part of the cemetery (about 0.9 hectares) fell into the forest fund, explained the acting Heads of the Pozharsky District Vadim Sedykh. 1.9 hectares, originally allocated for burials, were not arranged properly.
"Now we are engaged in the withdrawal of the territory from the forest fund and their transfer to the category of special forces. <...> If everything goes successfully - in January or a maximum in February we will expand the cemetery," Sedy added.
