The Kalininsky District Court of St. Petersburg fined Yaguba Vagif Ogly Suleymanova 70,000 rubles for failing to report plans to commit a terrorist act in the Kazan Cathedral. This was reported by the joint press service of the courts of the city.

The man was found guilty of committing a crime under Art. 205.6 of the Criminal Code (“Failure to report a crime”).

According to investigators, Yevgeny Yefimov, another firuant of the case, told Suleimanov many times about his plans. Suleimanov admitted his guilt.

“So, at the end of November 2017, near the Sennaya Ploshchad metro station, Efimov told Suleimanov that he planned to rent a garage or other cold room for the manufacture of explosives, and at the beginning of December 2017 he told the defendant by phone about his almost complete readiness to commit a crime . Suleimanov, in turn, dissuaded Efimov, but did not report anything to law enforcement agencies, ”the message says.

Earlier, the court sentenced another person involved in the case of preparing a terrorist attack in the Kazan Cathedral, Firuz Kalavurov, to 3.5 years in a penal colony for illegal possession of TNT and a piece of a special igniter cord (part 1 of article 222.1 of the Criminal Code) and failure to report a crime (article 205.6 of the Criminal Code). ). Kalavurov pleaded not guilty.

In August, another defendant in the case, Yevgeny Yefimov, was sentenced to five years in a strict regime colony. He was accused of illegal manufacture of explosives (part 1 of article 223.1 of the Criminal Code) and preparations for committing a terrorist attack (part 1 of article 30, part 1 of article 205 of the Criminal Code).

Recall that for the first time the Federal Security Service (FSB) reported about the preparation of a terrorist attack in the Kazan Cathedral in December 2017. As it turned out later, this information was transferred to the FSB by the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
