The court arrested the accused of murdering a BlaBlaCar client who disappeared on the way from Moscow to Tula

The Meshchansky District Court of Moscow arrested for two months Vitaly Chikirev, accused of murdering the director of two Burger King cafes , Irina Akhmatova, who disappeared on the way from Moscow to Tula. Interfax about this . told Court press secretary Yulia Kotomina

Kotomina clarified that Chikirev was charged under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code (murder). The case was transferred to the central office of the Investigative Committee.

According to investigators, on December 23, Akhmatova picked up Chikirev near one of the metro stations in the south of Moscow on the way to Tula, after which she disappeared. She found a travel companion through the BlaBlaCar service .

Earlier, the Investigative Committee published a video in which Chikirev says that he tried to rob Akhmatova and admits to her murder. The woman's whereabouts are still unknown.

According to the Kommersant newspaper, Chikirev served in the North Caucasus in the Skif special forces detachment of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. “Moskovsky Komsomolets” wrote that he was a member of the “Combat Brotherhood” association of veterans of local wars, where he was called Chekist.

Kommersant writes that in 2004 Chikirev was found guilty of rape and sexual assault (point “b” of part 2 of article 131 and point “b” of part 2 of article 132 of the Criminal Code), the court sentenced him to six years in prison. Chikirev received his second term in Nizhny Novgorod. The court sentenced him to seven years in a maximum security colony for robbery (Article 162 of the Criminal Code).
