Russian President Vladimir Putin flew to Magnitogorsk, where one of the entrances to a residential building collapsed. According to Interfax , the fate of 38 people after the gas explosion remains unknown.

In Magnitogorsk, at 6 am, one of the entrances to a residential building collapsed. According to the latest data, four people died, four were hospitalized.

According to the deputy governor of the Chelyabinsk region Oleg Klimov, "the seventh entrance collapsed, there are 12 of them in total, 110 people are registered in this entrance."

Minister of Health Veronika Skvortsova and head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Yevgeny Zinichev arrived in Magnitogorsk. Employees of the Investigative Committee were also sent to assist in the investigation, and a criminal case was initiated on causing death by negligence.
