January 1, 1944 on the radio for the first time, the USSR anthem was heard to the music of Alexander Alexandrov. Many years later - in 2000 - the same melody became the Russian anthem, the text for it was rewritten by Sergey Mikhalkov for the third time. In the special prize of the podcast, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the anthem of the USSR, Alexei Ponomarev and Andrei Borzenko, together with the researcher of Stalinist culture, Ilya Venyavkin, tell the history of the appearance of the Soviet anthem and his unexpected return in the new country.
