On the outskirts of the besieged Leningrad, the family of Voskresensky microbiologist celebrates the New Year - wife, grandmother, two adult children. The family at special services - therefore, their life and life are strikingly different from the life of most Soviet citizens in the rear and at the front. Actually, the whole "sedition" of the film in this; Although the topic is painful from the point of view of the current ideology - inspiring the idea that in suffering all Soviet people were “equal”, but far from new. Even in the thawing film “Cranes fly” Mikhail Kalatozov (1957), although implicitly, it was shown that during the war not everyone lived the same way. However, the current ideology does not just reproduce the Soviet one - it also tries to reset the latest collective memory.
The film "Holiday" directed by Alexei Krasovsky predictably subjected to fierce criticism in the State Duma before the exit; But the director, it seems, did not even try to get a rental certificate in the Ministry of Culture - he immediately posted the film on the network. We are dealing with a situation in which “they understand everything” - and do not even waste time on formalities. This is also comparable to late -Soviet practice, when another writer did not even try to break into the official print, but immediately gave his thing to Samizdat. Moreover, Alexei Krasovsky is quite “systematic” until recently, the director (his last film “Collector” with Konstantin Khabensky in the title role was caused by criticism). Nevertheless, for the next film, the director chose a deliberately impassable topic, abandoning state funding - thereby making a choice in favor of an individual promotion strategy, albeit risky. This fact would have to alert modern ideologists: the “loyalty scheme in exchange for financial stability” for the next Russian director has ceased to be the only possible. But, as in the 1970s, ideology considers all this a trifle against the backdrop of general achievements.
