MUI looks like a simple wooden block, but in fact it is a disguised display, which also works as a smart column. With it, you can turn on music, control lighting in the room and even check the weather. Everything is due to the fact that the voice assistant Google Assistant is built in MUI.

A TV that can be curtailed (not in a tube, but close!)

On CES 2019, LG showed Signature Oled TV R-its folded TV with a 65-inch OLED screen. By pressing the button, the mechanism is activated - and the TV leaves the special case (or vice versa in it), which helps to save the space of the room. And in a “folded” state, cats are much more difficult to break down.

LG plans to launch these devices on sale in the spring of 2019. The price of TVs is not yet called, but they will most likely be very expensive.

Smart glasses with which you can call uber

Smart Focals glasses developed by North (one of the startups financed Amazon) cost a thousand dollars apiece. A mini-projector is built in them-it displays the image to the glass, from there it is transferred to the retina. That is, access to notifications from social networks, hours, map and other useful applications can be obtained without even taking out the phone from your pocket.

In addition, the glasses are equipped with ALEXA voice assistant - and with their help you can dictate the text on the go, which is quite convenient. Focals themselves are controlled by a special ring with a joystick.

Hyundai Elevate - when the car learned to walk

Hyundai Elevate is not a car, but almost a walker . Yes, he has wheels, but they are attached to the real mechanical legs. This allows the machine to move even in the most difficult conditions. In theory, Elevate is useful to research scientists and rescue services (especially those who help victims of blockages or earthquakes).

The voice assistant Google Assistant can be used as a synchronous translator - however, not instantaneous (everyone will not work at the same time). The mode is activated after a special voice team. It sounds something like this: "Google, translator from Chinese!" After that, the device will begin to take turns to translate the speech of participants in the conversation.

So far, the technology works with malfunctions, but the company promises to correct its shortcomings. Now Google Assistant understands and translates from 27 languages, including Russian. The first to access the translator’s mode will be the owners of the Smart column Google Home Hub, and then all the rest.
