Parks with white powder came to the diplomatic enterprise in Melbourne and Kanberre

The Australian Federal Police conducts an investigation after more than a dozen diplomatic departments in Melbourne and Kanberra received parcels with white powder.

Suspicious parcels came to at least 14 diplomatic missions, not counting unnamed consulates and embassies throughout Melubbourne and the Australian metropolitan territory, the Australian television channel reports.

According to police, packages with suspicious powder were delivered to the diplomatic mission of Great Britain, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Indonesia, Korea, Pakistan, the USA and Switzerland.

"The parcels are examined in emergency services. All circumstances are investigated," the police officially said. So far, no preliminary information was decided not to make public, so as not to disturb the public.

Emergency services were informed about what happened around 14:00 local time (06:00 in Moscow). There are reports that packages contain white powder mixed with asbestos. The employees of all diplomatic departments were sent by e -mail warnings that they put on protective masks when opening packages. In one of the embassies, an envelope with powder was delivered about an hour in the afternoon ordinary mail employees. There was no return address on the envelope, no messages were also contained.

Employees at least seven embassies are evacuated and undergoing a medical examination.

According to the Russian Embassy in Australia, this incident did not touch on the diplomatic mission of the Russian Federation located in the country, TASS notes.

It should be noted that in October the US Secret Service stated that she intercepted explosive devices sent by mail to ex-president Barack Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

In addition, parcels with explosive devices were sent to the ex-president of the United States Barack Obama and his wife Michelle, former US Prosecutor General Eric Holder, former CIA director John Brennan, billionaire and philanthropist George Soros, as well as in the New York edition of CNN. Most of the parcels managed to intercept in the process of delivery.

In the package that came to the editor of the TV channel, they also found an envelope with white powder. It was reported that he does not pose a biological threat.
