But physical destruction is not the only activist's argument. There is a psychological factor. “The decisions that were promptly adopted are based on the results of a technical examination conducted by specialists of the Russian Emergencies Ministry using the Strun complex,” said Governor Boris Dubrovsky, indicated in the addresses of the open letter today. “Based on the results of this examination, it is recommended to free the fifth and sixth entrances in the period when heavy equipment works, which we did, giving people the opportunity to rent housing and accommodate in temporary stay points.”

According to the head of the region, living in other entrances is safe. After the dismantling of the two destroyed entrances, it is planned to conduct a detailed technical audit of all preserved. At the request of the residents, they will be allowed to participate in the audit, for which public groups will be formed. Dubrovsky emphasized that the authorities are acting as openly as possible, all decisions on this issue will be made publicly and taking into account the emotions of apartments in the affected building.

At the moment, the payment of compensations has begun to the victims and family members of those who died both from the regional and from the federal budget - in the amount of almost 75 million rubles. About 330 people have already received the money.

It is planned that the total amount of regional payments will be 93 million rubles. Another 100 million rubles to help the victims were sent by the Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Plant, a city -forming enterprise of Magnitogorsk. By order of the Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev, 65 million rubles were allocated from the reserve fund of the federal government for one-time payments.

In addition, more than 23 million rubles were received by a special charity account.
