The launch of the serial production of the new generation of the MS-21 of the new generation of the MS-21 can be postponed for several years due to US sanctions. This was written by Kommersant with reference to sources in the industry and official in the government apparatus.

If the problem is not solved, the launch of the aircraft into the series will be transferred from the planned 2020 to 2025.

According to the newspaper, there are several ways to correct the situation - to find the possibility of the release of analogues in Russia and connect to import substitution of the structure of the Rosatom. However, now in Russia there are no enterprises producing such airlines, and it is extremely difficult to predict terms for the OCD, sources of the publication say. There is also the third option-to get rid of composites in MS-21 and redesign the wing and keel in metal.

At the same time, in Rostec the problem is considered “far -fetched”. The state corporations assure that there are both reliable foreign composites suppliers and their own developments.
