The Left Resistance activist was sent home a protocol a month after the protest

Activist of the Left Resistance movement Kirill Kotov was sent a protocol on administrative violation due to the Moscow action “March against the authorities” at his place of registration in the Penza region. Left Resistance activist Daria Polyudova reported this to OVD-Info.

The protocol indicates that Kotov committed an administrative offense under Part 8 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (repeated violation of the rules for holding an event) due to a picket against the Russian authorities and in support of Ukraine, which he held together with Polyudova and another activist. Polyudova noted that their action was a series of single pickets. The accompanying letter to the protocol states that the case will be considered by the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow.

Three Left Resistance activists were detained on December 12 on Pushkinskaya Square and taken to the Tverskoy district police department. Polyudova and Kotov were then left at the police station for the night; the next day only Kotov was released, having made him obligated to report to the department on December 24. The protocol that was sent to Kotov also dates back to December 24. Two days after the arrest, Polyudova was arrested for 10 days, also under Part 8 of Art. 20.2 Code of Administrative Offences.

• Kirill Kotov is a Penza activist who was accused of public calls to overthrow the government (Article 280 of the Criminal Code) because of the poster. He, like Daria Polyudova, is regularly detained and fined for various political actions. In June, he was arrested for 15 days because of a single picket - he stood with a poster “On Russia Day we demand freedom. There will be a revolution. FIFA World Cup - boycott."
