Searches of Crimean Tatars took place in Crimea

In the north-west of Crimea, in the village of Razdolnoye, searches were carried out in the homes of Crimean Tatars Ernest Aliev, Server Bariev and Osman Osmanov. It is reported by "Crimean solidarity".

According to human rights activists, operational activities began early in the morning. In the house of Aliyev and Osmanov, the security forces searched for prohibited items and literature. They also inspected office equipment.

The decision to search Bariev's home says that members of the Hizb ut-Tahrir organization allegedly gather in his house.

By 9 am, the searches at the homes of Osmanov, Aliyev and Bariev were completed. During the operational activities, the security forces did not seize any items from the residents of the village. Crimean Solidarity does not specify in which criminal case the searches took place. It is also unknown if anyone was arrested.

Bariev works as a dental technician, Aliyev as a builder. The scope of Osmanov's employment is not reported.

• Hizb ut-Tahrir is recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia. In different regions of the country, criminal cases of terrorism have been initiated against members of this political movement. In Russia, members of Hizb ut-Tahrir are sentenced to various terms of imprisonment, serving sentences in strict regime colonies, only on the basis that they met in apartments and read religious literature.
