The Moscow City Court extended the arrest of political strategist Miloserdov for almost six months

The Moscow City Court extended until June 29 the arrest of political technologist Pyotr Miloserdov, accused of creating an extremist community (part 1 of article 282.1 of the Criminal Code). This was reported to OVD-Info by his lawyer Alexei Chernyshev.

Miloserdov, according to Chernyshev, was not properly notified of the meeting. Because of this, the preliminary hearing was postponed.

In August 2018, Miloserdov's arrest was extended in the convoy premises of the court. The defendant was lying on a stretcher during the hearing due to back pain.

A month later, the prosecutor's office refused to present an indictment to the political strategist and sent the case for further investigation, but the next day the court still extended his arrest.

Petr Miloserdov was arrested on January 25, 2018. The investigation believes that he, together with the nationalist Alexander Potkin (Belov), created an extremist community whose members planned to overthrow the government in Kazakhstan.

The political strategist himself says that Potkin ordered a political science study and an expert report on the situation in Kazakhstan from him. For work, Miloserdov interviewed local public figures for five days.

Miloserdov is also charged with using a fake passport (part 3 of article 327 of the Criminal Code) and complicity in forging a document under article 327 of the Criminal Code (part 1 with the application of part 5 of article 33 (aiding) and part 3).
