“After an unknown man entered the aircraft, aviation security officers were called, who immediately removed the man from the board and handed him over to representatives of the border service,” a TASS source at Aeroflot said. A check is being carried out at the airport after the incident.

According to Interfax, the man entered the airfield through the entrance of one of the terminals, intended for the passage of aircraft crews. Bypassing the inspection frame, the man ran out onto the airfield and ran towards the nearest plane, which turned out to be an Aeroflot airliner. An unknown person climbed aboard the technical staff ladder.

There is no word yet on the motives of the perpetrator. The flight from Sheremetyevo to Brussels was delayed by 20 minutes due to the incident, according to the online scoreboard.
