In Penza, the court extended the arrest of the accused in the Network case

The Penza Regional Court extended until April 18 the arrest of Vasily Kuksov and Andrei Chernov, accused in the Network case. MBKh Media writes about this with reference to Chernov’s mother Tatyana.

On January 15, the same court will hold hearings with other defendants in the case - Dmitry Pchelintsev, Ilya Shakursky and Arman Sagynbaev. They, Kuksov and Chernov have been in pretrial detention since the fall of 2017.

UPD On January 15, the Penza Regional Court extended the arrest of Arman Sagynbaev and Dmitry Pchelintsev until April 18, 2019. According to Mediazona, the meeting to extend the arrest of Ilya Shakursky was postponed to January 16.

• The investigation believes that the Network is a terrorist organization, which allegedly has cells in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Penza and Belarus. In total, 11 anarchists and anti-fascists from St. Petersburg and Penza are involved in the case. According to the prosecution, community members were preparing terrorist attacks in Russia in order to raise an armed rebellion.
• The defendants in the Network case talked about psychological pressure, electric shock torture and weapons that FSB officers planted on them. Some of them refused to confess and said that they gave them under torture.
