The St. Petersburg City Court rejected an appeal by the defense of Viktor Filinkov, a defendant in the Network case, to extend his detention. This was told to OVD-Info by his lawyer Vitaly Cherkasov.

On appeal, the defense indicated that the trial judge considered the request for arrest behind closed doors. At that time, representatives of the media and listeners were not allowed to attend the meeting. However, the judge pointed out that the proceedings were open to the public. These arguments about violations were not accepted by the judge of the Petersburg City Court. He left the earlier decision to extend the arrest unchanged.
