Sberbank overtook Rosneft and became the most valuable company in Russia

Sberbank overtook Rosneft and came out on top in the list of Russian companies with the largest capitalization.

During trading on the Moscow Exchange on January 16, Sberbank shares rose by 1.7%, due to which the company's total capitalization reached 4.51 trillion rubles. Rosneft shares fell 0.8%, and its value fell to 4.48 trillion.

• The most valuable company in the world right now is Amazon. Its capitalization is 825 billion dollars (approximately 54.7 trillion rubles).
• Sberbank has long been the most expensive company in Russia, but lost the championship to Rosneft in August 2018 amid fears of new US sanctions, including restrictions on dollar transactions for Russian state-owned banks. In November, Sberbank regained its leadership for several days.
