In Chelyabinsk, the coordinator of the headquarters of Navalny became a defendant of another criminal case

In Chelyabinsk, the coordinator of the local headquarters of Navalny Boris Zolotarevsky is suspected of intentionally causing easy harm to health (part 1 of article 115 of the Criminal Code). He told about this in his telegram channel.

The case was opened due to the conflict between the activists of the headquarters of Navalny and the employees of the ChOP of the Russian Copper Company (RMK), which occurred in June 2018 between the M-36 highway and the village of Tomino in the Chelyabinsk region. The coordinator, along with the volunteers of the headquarters, wanted to record a video message for residents of Chelyabinsk. Probably, it was supposed to concern the construction of a mining and processing plant (GOK), against which activists oppose.

The guards, as Zolotarevsky said , surrounded activists, began to push and apply physical strength, preventing them from conducting photo and video setting. According to him, one of the men jumped in his direction, and then “fell picturesquely”, saying that it was Zolotarevsky who tumbled him to the ground. Now the Employee Chop says that the activist dislocated his leg. The coordinator claims that the guard used to be a professional boxer and military.

The video published by an activist shows how the employees of the private security company go around the coordinator, push him, cough loudly, interfering with a record, cover his face from the camera with their phones.

Zolotarevsky himself believes that a criminal case is associated with his mayor's campaign and criticism of the mayor of the Chelyabinsk region Boris Dubrovsky. Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of the activist may be arrested for up to four months.

• Boris Zolotarevsky is also suspected of hooliganism, committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy (part 2 of article 213 of the Criminal Code), due to the campaign on May 5.
