A police captain was found dead in Ulyanovsk

A police officer was found dead in Ulyanovsk, the Investigative Committee is conducting a pre-investigation check, TASS reports with reference to Evgeniy Slovtsov, assistant head of the department for press relations.

“The police officer was found hanged. A pre-investigation check is being carried out on this fact, the results of which will establish the circumstances of the incident,” Slovtsov said.

The agency's source in law enforcement clarifies that the deceased is a police captain; he worked in the police department in the Zheleznodorozhny district.

As writes Region 73 , friends of the deceased believe that he committed [Roskomnadzor]. According to them, this happened on January 9, he was found dead in his own apartment.

Friends say that Captain Nesterov “poked his nose where he was not asked.” In addition, he was put under pressure by his boss Elizarov, who repeatedly threatened to fire Nesterov, to which he “reacted very painfully.”
