Cristiano Ronaldo's goal brings Juventus victory in the Italian Super Cup

The Turin Juventus players beat Milan (1:0) and won the Italian Super Cup for a record eighth time in their history. The Super Cup was the first trophy for Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo after his summer move from Real Madrid.

It was Ronaldo who brought the title to the current Italian champions, scoring the only goal against the country's Cup finalist.

The meeting took place at the King Abdullah Sports City stadium in Saudi Arabia, which seats 62,345 spectators. Cristiano scored in the 61st minute, and in the 74th minute Franck Kessie received a red card for Milan.

Let us remind you that the Super Cup is traditionally played in a match between the champion and the winner of the national Cup. If it is the same club, then the Cup finalist plays against it.

“Juventus” took part in this match for the seventh time in a row, because for the last seven years they became the champion of Italy, and for the last four years they won the Cup. In two previous meetings, the Turin team lost to the Cup finalists - in 2017 to Lazio, and in 2016 to Milan.

And now they have finally set the record for most Super Cup victories, winning the trophy for the eighth time. Milan has seven victories left.
