A resident of Nizhny Tagil, Roman Kuznetsov, carried an elderly woman with a disability out of a burning house in his arms.
According to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Sverdlovsk Region, due to a short circuit in the electrical wiring, a fire broke out in a private wooden house on Sukholozhskaya Street. There were elderly spouses there - a 79-year-old man and his 83-year-old wife. The pensioner himself could not help his wife, so he began to call his neighbors for help.
30-year-old forklift driver Roman Kuznetsov called the firefighters and rushed into the burning house. He broke the glass, entered the house through the window, found the pensioner lying on the floor, pulled her out into the air, and then took her to his home, where she remained until the doctors arrived. After that, he returned and, together with his neighbors, extinguished the burning house with improvised means until the firefighters arrived. The rescued woman received moderate poisoning from combustion products.
According to E1.ru, employees of the local department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations presented Roman Kuznetsov with a letter of gratitude, a box of chocolates and an autonomous fire detector. Now rescuers are preparing documents to nominate the man for an award from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
