Tver Court of Moscow arrested the ex-head of the "alcohol Siberian group"

The Tver court of Moscow arrested the ex-head of the "alcohol Siberian group" Igor Savelyev on suspicion of embezzlement of 215.5 million rubles, TASS reports. The suspect will remain in custody until March 16.

The investigator submitted an application for the arrest of Savelyev, who stated that the investigative actions regarding the ex-head were not completed. At the same time, the prosecutor’s office did not support the demand and advocated the ban on certain actions, and not arrest.

The suspect was ready to pay five million rubles as a bail. The side of protection asked to choose any measure of restraint, except for detention, citing the fact that Savelyev "never hindered the investigation and never influenced witnesses."

According to investigators, the former leader performed fraudulent actions related to Rusco LLC. Savelyev denies his guilt.
