He is known that in the 1980s he reported to his former friend Alexei Manannikov, who was sent to prison for three years. Later, Manannikov became a senator.

Mikhail Vasiliev headed the Center for Coordination of the Development of Programs and Partnership, the University website said. He has already participated in the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum as a representative of the university.

Vasiliev was born in Novokuznetsk in the Kemerovo region in 1958. He studied at Novosibirsk State University. There, Alexei Manannikov met him.

“With Misha Vasiliev, we studied at NSU at the Faculty of Economics. We were connected by friendly, one might say, romantic relationships. Misha was a couple of courses younger, but we left the university at the same time. I received a diploma, he was expelled for chronic poor performance, ”Ranannikov recalled in his LiveJournal.

According to him, after the university, he continued to communicate with Vasiliev by correspondence, which suddenly interrupted at the end of 1981, and then Manannikov was arrested. In 1982, he was sent to the Lefortovo pre -trial detention center on charges of "spreading knowingly false fabrications defaming the Soviet state and social system." The Moscow City Court sentenced him to three years of labor camps.

In his post, Manannikov quoted the text “Donation”, which, according to him, was written by Mikhail Vasiliev:

“After long reflection on the incident, I believe that for several years for me on the part of Manannikov, a thorough ideological processing was underway, which at certain stages reached the goal and from the impact of which they helped me to get rid of in time. If our correspondence with Manannikov continued further, then in the end I would go very far in the path of dissent and dissident, and ultimately along the path of betrayal of my people, my homeland. <...> The goal of Manannikov was unknown to me, but I can assume that I was planned to actively use me in his further anti -Soviet and antisocialist activity. <...> I, if I tried to start talking with my parents, expressing “free” views on the essence of things, always met an active rebuff from their part. Assuming at that time that this is a common conflict of generations, I am less and less and Less commonly began to turn to them for advice. And how easily and simply it was with Manannikov - behind a “bottle of dry light wine” the problems retreated into the background. <...> Without realizing it myself, I, having begun to use the information received from dubious sources, in conversations with my friends, was there to be the propaganda of bourgeois ideology. I never pursued such a goal, since I had the most harmless reason - to show the rest that I know more, I can judge the things inaccessible to them with the appearance of an expert. But, nevertheless, the fact remains - I walked along the same path with different "dissenting" scoundrels that changed their homeland.

Later, already in the army, in conversations with my colleagues, I began to allow the expression of clearly dissenting, which I could cause great damage to my interlocutors, that is, in fact, I conducted anti -Soviet propaganda. ”

The next time, Manannikov met Vasiliev only in 2004-at the funeral of the murdered vice-mayor of Novosibirsk Valery Maryasov.

Vasiliev in 1992 got a job in the administration of Krasnoyarsk, then worked at the Krasnoyarsk Aluminum Plant Deputy General Director. He worked in commercial structures, and in 2002 he returned to the career of the official-he was appointed vice-governor, head of the economic development department. In 2004, he became a deputy of the City Council, then he headed the regional union of industrialists, in 2007 he elected to the Legislative Assembly of the region from United Russia. In July 2015, he became an adviser to the Krasnoyarsk governor Viktor Tolokonsky, in November he was appointed Minister of Economic Development of the region.

After the change of power in the region and the arrival of Alexander Uss to the post of acting governor Vasiliev, he did not remain in the regional government.
