German driver Mick Schumacher has officially joined the Ferrari Academy. 19-year-old Mick became the champion in the Formula 3 category ahead of schedule last season, and in the coming season the racing driver will compete in Formula 2.
“I am delighted to be part of the Ferrari team. I will do everything to fulfill my dream of getting into Formula 1. Ferrari has a big place in my heart, as well as in our family,” he wrote Mick on Twitter .
The German also posted an official letter announcing his joining the Ferrari team.

Michael Schumacher (Mick's father) spent 19 seasons in Formula 1, reaching the podium 155 times in 308 starts. He became the Formula 1 champion seven times, which is an absolute record. He also holds the record for the most victories at Grand Prix stages - 91.
