In Rostov-on-Don, Anastasia Shevchenko, a member of the federal council of Open Russia, was charged with carrying out the activities of an organization recognized as undesirable in Russia (Article 284.1 of the Criminal Code). The criminal case became known from a search warrant at the home of lawyer Elsa Nisanbekova from Kazan. In the morning, law enforcement officers came to the apartment where she lives with two children. The police also came to four activists in Rostov-on-Don.
This is the first criminal case against a member of Open Russia under Article 284.1 of the Criminal Code.
