The "threatened zone" of the authorities declared 46 settlements in 3 municipalities: 23 - in Mikhailovsky, 14 - in Khorolsky, 4 in Oktyabrsky and Ussuri and 1 in Chernihiv. According to the conditions of the regime, it is now forbidden to graze cattle and sell animal products at fairs. All animals of the listed areas must undergo examination and vaccination.

The quarantine will last 28 days: it will be canceled only after the destruction of the last "susceptible animal."

The authorities explained the input of emergency regimen in the Spassky district by the fact that Mercy Trade recorded a mass case at the local enterprise: all 22.5 thousand pigs on the farm of the enterprise should be destroyed. The very first outbreak of foot and mouth disease was marked at Rusagro Group of Companies - its owners should destroy 481 animals and hold quarantine events.
