Ivan Stolkhuta lives in the village of Bolshaya River of the Ermakovsky District in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. He is 58 years old, and he has been working as a pimochat for 20 years, that is, rolled boots, says "present" ..
“I have been living here, with the army, and worked in the forest, in the forest industry farm. In the 90s, collapse, something had to be done, it was necessary to work somewhere,” Ivan recalls. “I had a friend in Ermaki, and there was still“ Pimokatka ”since Soviet times. Something I was interested in how boots have been doing it, I went out, looked like men, women rolled up, women. Close, the machine scratches, and then these grandmothers come, order.
Ivan learned from a friend a craft and began to make boots in his bath: "There are a lot of operations, there are a lot of difficulties, I did the sketches and then myself, I slowly achieved marriages, comprehended this science."
According to Ivan, he takes wool in Khakassia: he agreed with the farmer. To roll boots, you need the wool of the second haircut, that is, it is necessary to cut a ram in April, it will grow over the summer, and in the fall it is cut again. The wool is very expensive. To reduce the cost of wool, Ivan is looking for private traders who hold 20-40 rams and cut them themselves.
“Vallenok-everything is simple, you’re more rolled, more worn. Just the market dictates its conditions for me, everyone asks me soft. Please, you, my grandmother, are soft, Nate you, grandfather, are soft. I say that they will already be erased through three or four,” Ivan tells about the nuances of their business. - I was taught acid, then I paint, all this is trouble, then I burn these will when they dry out of the pad. Why acid, why paint, natural color, here I have hands, water and wool, all. "
According to Ivan, Pimokatov is not enough, the youth does not want to do this: the work is hard and difficult. Still remains the problem of sales. However, Ivan does not complain about the lack of orders - there is always demand.
"I am applying to the Internet, to the local newspaper, and I accept orders. I need to measure the height of the felt boots, the color and volume of caviar. I divorce myself, work with delivery. Well, if through the Internet, then I send the package by cash on delivery or so it is sent to Germany several times. And for the Far East and for Moscow, for these 20 years, wherever I did not send it."
The wife helps Ivan, together they go to the market with goods.
“The only thing was to overpower yourself. You worked in the timber industry industry, and then you had to open your own business and trade. How to trade? By the way, we had the same - speculation, parasitism,” Ivan says about how to fight stereotypes. “And here this psychological moment had to overpower. It was a shame to stand.”
According to Ivan, boots are mainly taken by older people and parents for children, but people have little money, pensions are small. “Young people take tight, so I want to come up with something for them,” he shares his plans.
