Russian figure skater Sofya Samodurova won gold in women's singles at the European Championships in Minsk.
The 16-year-old athlete completed both programs without serious errors and scored 213.84 points in the sum of the two programs.
The 2018 Olympic champion Alina Zagitova unsuccessfully skated her free program: the figure skater fell from the triple lutz-triple toe loop combination and made a few more mistakes. She placed second with 198.34 points.
Bronze was won by Viveka Lindfors from Finland (194.40 points). Another Russian, Stanislava Konstantinova, who failed in the short program (11th place), successfully skated the free program and took fourth place (189.72 points).
Earlier, Russian figure skaters Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov won silver at the European Championships, the third place was taken by Russians Alexandra Boykova and Dmitry Kozlovsky.
