In the fall of 2015, a member of the Memorial Society, a historian, professor of the Department of Russian and Universal History of the Perm State University Andrei Suslov wrote a manual for teachers “Studying at the School of the History of Stalinist repressions”. The training manual was liked by the regional Ombudsman and the Minister of Education of the region - the text of the textbook was even published on the website of the ministry. It was then that the manual attracted the attention of the organization of Sergei Kurginyan “The Essence of Time”, known for his love for Comrade Stalin.

Kurginyanovites turned to Roskomnadzor for help, whose experts quickly recognized the training manual of the “memorial” “dangerous for the mental and psychological health of children”. Moreover, a manual for an audience with a normal psyche was reviewed by a specialist in deviant psychology and a geography teacher. Their verdict: “The manual forms an inaccurate picture of the world, directing the goal -setting of the teenager towards the formation of an aggressive attitude towards the state <...>”. At the manual, they will put the stamp "18+". After that, the author of the manual historian Suslov will go to look for the truth in court ...

A year after the events described, the expert of Roskomnadzor Zhanna Tachmamedov recognizes a methodological manual harmful to students, according to which classes devoted to HIV prevention were carried out in Chelyabinsk. Classes had to be stopped. Well, the manual of the historian of Suslov about the study of the Stalinist repressions, meanwhile, has already withstood two paper publications and, despite Roskomnadzor and the “essence of time”, is in demand and authority.

- A professional historian proposed a training manual. But she did not like her for ideological reasons. Two arbitrary experts - one psychologist, the other geographer - was banned, saying that it spoils the mental existence of students through teachers and in general there can be no place for it. This training manual is not about the baptism of Rus', not about the Battle of Kulikovo, and not even about the war of 1812, but about Stalinist repressions.

This is a very sharp, very dramatic, very tragic and very important topic for us. Without knowing her, the child cannot come into life. And unfortunately, the court intervened in the process on the intellectual and historical fragmentation of our children and our society. It seems to me that children need to know the truth about our story. Because

Only the truth, and not a lie, will ensure the normal mental state of children.

Otherwise, then it must be excluded from the school course at the whole story.

Yes, history is a tough thing, not always pleasant. Some officials think: so that the children sleep calmly, why should they know all this? This logic is harmful, it leads us to a historical and civilian dead end. We should not lie to our children. This is the main thing that I would learn from this story.
