Senator from the KCR Rauf Arashukov was detained during the meeting of the Council

The senator from Karachay-Cherkessia Rauf Arashukov was detained in the meeting room of the Federation Council, TASS reports with reference to a source participating in a meeting of the upper house.

“They agreed to the detention and search of the senator from Karachay-Cherkessia Arashukov. He was detained and led out of the hall, ”the source said. According to him, Arashukov is suspected of committing several crimes, including the creation of a criminal community.

The source said that fake documents could be the reason for the detention, “on the basis of which he became a senator,” RIA Novosti reports. The same interlocutor clarified that among the accusations against Arashukov were the murder of two people and causing grievous bodily harm to the health of another person.

Earlier it was reported that Rauf Arashukov became the subject of a criminal investigation in the United Arab Emirates, due to doubts about the authenticity of the validity of the residence permit.
