Alexander Novozhenov died

On the night of January 31, art critic and artist Alexander Novozhenova died in Chicago at the age of 36.

This was announced by her father, journalist Lev Novozhenov.

Alexandra Lvovna Novozhenova was born in 1982 in Moscow, graduated from the Higher Academic School of Graphic Design of the Moscow State Art and Industry Academy named after S.G. Stroganova, in parallel studied art history at Moscow State University.

Alexandra Novozhenova was a specialist in Soviet art, collaborated with Colta.ru , “Art Journal”, “Arthronics”, “Vedomosti” and other publications.

The book of Alexandra Novozhenova “Episodes of modernism” (M.: New Literary Review, 2018), written in co-authorship with Gleb Naplyenko , entered the Long list of the 2019 Alexander Pyatigorsky literary prize.
